Design and Landscape guidelines

Our estate has strict design and landscape guidelines and settlement came with a 13 page document outlining all the do's and dont's complete with examples. I am not complaining because these standards will create a great place to live and its a modern style and to my taste. They want a natural settling so the house colours have to use a palette of neutral colours like beige and greys with clean lines and natural materials like stones and timber. So no arched facades, red brick, colorbond fence or orange pavers etc.

One of the guidelines is to have a well established predominately native garden. My garden style has always been very formal with neat rows of traditional english hedges and lots of pretty flowering plants. This new garden will be very natural and Aussie bush like, with a mixer of native shrubs and grasses. In preparation for this garden we have started to purchase small plants and hopefully by the time we move in they will be more established (if we don't kill them in the meantime). Also we have time to divide some varieties, saving us money. We have around a quarter of the plants but I have already noticed the wildlife being attracted to the plants like birds, bees and lizards. Its so great to see and now I am very excited to plant this garden in our new place.
Our 13 page document detailing the look and style expected. Its a natural modern style so I am happy.
